Feb 22, 2021

UPDATE: Variety is now reporting per a source at Disney studios that there are currently no plans to include Big Hero 6 characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Big Hero Six was a animated hit for Disney and now it appears these Marvel superheroes will make the jump from animation to live-action.

Disinsidera is reporting Baymax and Hiro the stars of the franchise will being making their live-action debut in an upcoming MCU project. The site lists potential projects like Secret Invasion, Agents of Atlas, and Doctor Strange, but notes they couldn’t get confirmation on which project would feature these heroes.

Before their debut in the Disney animated universe Big Hero Six was a Marvel comic from the minds of Scott Lobdell and Gus Vasquez, the movie took a lot of liberties with the source material that ended up being a critical and finical hit for Disney which later spawned an animated series on Disney XD.

No further information is available at this time but we will sure to keep you updated as more comes in.

Both the Big Hero Six film and animated series are available on Disney Plus.
