Back in 2015, Deadline reported that Neill Blomkamp after Alien 5 was put on ice they instead were in talks with him to adapt the upcoming release of the novel The Gone World by Thomas Sweterlitsch.

Neill has seemingly confirmed he’s going to do the film via a post on his Twitter account.
