The upcoming Disney+ streaming service is adding yet another series to its growing repertoire, with ‘Book of Enchantment.’ Michael Seitzman (‘Code Black,’ ‘Quantico’) is developing the project, and has been for six months.
The series is an adaptation of Serena Valentino’s ‘Villains’ book series, which features some of Disney’s most popular villains. It will be an epic universe that weaves classic Disney tales told in a brand new way.
Seitzman wrote the pilot and the series bible, and will also serve as showrunner. The process of gathering writers has already begun, with the writers room opening in April.
Moreover, thanks to Production Weekly, we know the series will be shooting in the second quarter of 2020, at Ardmore Studios in Dublin, Ireland.
The series will be one of the later additions to Disney+, which will launch at the end of this year.
