Having a 5 year old daughter presents a variety of challenges, one of which is finding a common interest. She is a girls, girl and trying to get her interested in things I like has been trying. Superheroes, mutant ninja turtles and transforming robots just don’t interest her, or at least they won’t without a healthy helping of pink and accessories. But thanks to DC and most importantly the DC Super Hero Girls cartoon series she is starting to gravitate into my world.
You can imagine my excitement as you watches in awe and calls out the characters as they show up on screen. Every time she flies around the house pretending to be Supergirl, I can’t help but choke up a little and utter “that’s my girl.”
Now, thanks to LEGO our interests collide with fandom force as the DC Super Hero Girls get LEGO-fied.
