The good news, as you can tell from the numbering above, is that this is not the last crossover ‘cast that I expect we will ever do. You can plan on seeing many more shows featuring cast crossovers from the various podcasts on the GWW Radio Network. That makes me happy. What makes me sad, also telegraphed in the title above, is that this is the farewell ‘cast for the Geeks on Screen crew. We’ll be yielding the right of way to the newest members of our family, PacingPete and his crew from Scene N Nerd, who will spearhead our multimedia approach to covering…well…multimedia.
I have only been a member of the GWW family for a few seasons. In that time I have floated around to support various teams, including Capes, Games, Screens, and Tech, periodically making an appearance or two on each of those podcasts. While every team here is special and has its own unique character, I have to say that I am the most sentimental about the Screens crew. While heavy hearted at the departure of the brand, and the loosening of some of the ties that bound us together, it was one of the greatest honors to have been allowed to co-host this final episode. It has been an honor to work with every member of that team. On behalf of Entertainment Editor, Everett Harn, the Screens crew bids you farewell and good night.
But don’t get it twisted. Those rascals from SNN are some righteous dudes and dudettes. And keep an eye out for a potential collaborative spinoff featuring SNN’s and GWW’s resident TV expert, Sarah Belmont, real-world journalist Jonathan Reyes, and resident hack, yours truly.
In this send-off, the Capes crew joins us to re-cap the entirety of Season 3 of Arrow and Season 1 of The Flash, in order to properly set everyone’s table for the start of the follow-on seasons. With premieres of those shows kicking off next week, give us a listen on your morning commute to revisit what we liked and disliked about the flagship shows for the DCCWU. As well as a bit of commentary on some of the other shows coming down the premiere pike, such as The Walking Dead, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. It’s a nerd hootenanny of epic proportions, so don’t miss it!
