I noticed something in this official Captain Marvel concept art that was shown during the Marvel Studios panel at Comic-Con.
Well, these aliens Carol is fighting in this image are clearly wearing Kree Empire (introduced in Guardians of The Galaxy via Ronan) armor. They’re most likely Kree soldiers and not Skrulls. Kree Empire has a connection to her origin and having the Skrulls involved could be hinting to the Kree-Skrull War.
Also with a closer look, they seem to be blue skinned.
Here is an image of Kree Soldiers from the Avengers cartoon, which is eerily similar to the foes in this concept artwork. I think it’s safe to assume that they’ll have a large role to play in the film. The previous artwork that wasn’t in this batch shown to press months back had Carol fighting a possible Kree Sentry.
