Chris McKay has set his post-‘Dungeons and Dragons’ project with an adaptation of beloved cartoon ‘Johnny Quest.’
McKay previously helmed ‘The Lego Batman Movie,’ which garnered critical acclaim and was a box office success. It comes as no surprise to see WB giving him more high-profile projects. McKay is also attached to a ‘Nightwing’ movie, but it is unknown when, or if, that project will make it off the ground.
‘Johnny Quest’ has a script from Terry Rossio and Dan Mazeua, but it is unknown if that version will be used since it was commissioned when Robert Rodriguez was directing.
The original cartoon followed the adventures of a young boy as he traveled with his father and body guard around the world to stop catastrophic events from happening. ‘Johnny Quest’ does not yet have a release date.
