Chris McKay Will Direct ‘Ghost Draft’ For Skydance; Chris Pratt in Talks to Star

Feb 14, 2019

Chris McKay (‘The Lego Batman Movie’) is adding yet another movie to his concerningly expanding slate. This time it’s the Skydance film currently under the working title of ‘Ghost Draft.’ The screenplay is by Zach Dean (‘Deadfall,’ ’24 Hours to Live’).

Also, Chris Pratt is currently in negotiations to star in the film. With ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,’ Michelle MacLaren’s ‘Cowboy Ninja Viking,’ and Taylor Sheridan’s ‘F.A.S.T.’ all on hold, Pratt clearly wants something to work on. He recently reprised his role of Emmet Brickowski in ‘The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part,’ now in theaters.

McKay is attached to direct ‘Dungeons & Dragons,’ ‘Jonny Quest,’ ‘Reborn,’ and the long-gestating ‘Nightwing.’ ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ now has a November 19, 2021 release date.

The logline is below:

“A husband and father is drafted to fight a future war in which the fate of humanity may rely on his ability to correct issues of the past.”

Further, the film is on the fast-track to film this summer. However, there is no release date yet.
