It’s October and that means Halloween is almost here. In honor of my favorite holiday of the year I give to you my top thirty horror movies. Now some of these films might be on every list, but some might not. I might even have a film or two that you have never heard of. Just remember this is my top thirty. In other words these films made me cringe or just sent chills up my spine. So with no further ado here is my list.
# 17
Hostel (2005)
Directed by: Eli Roth
This movie is not for the faint at heart. Let me just say it is very intense and gory beyond belief. Eli Roth knows horror and it shows in this horrifying tale. Hostel will make you squirm in your seat just like a child who needs to go to the bathroom. Word to the wise you might just want to hold off of eating till after you watch this one.
Three friends are having the time of their life as they travel across Europe. While traveling they run into a guy who recommends that they visit a certain hostel in Slovakia. At this Hostel they have the most beautiful girls who are extremely welcoming and show you around and love to party. How can you pass that up? Well like the saying goes. If there is something to good to be true there must be a catch. Well the catch to this good time is your precious life. Everything from this point on becomes down right horrifying. Imagine a brothel but instead of paying for sex you pay to brutally kill people.
This film is sick and twisted and so are the sequels. Next time you are traveling just make sure to carry a little more cash on you so you can stay at a nice hotel. Otherwise you could be next on the chopping block.
