Oct 31, 2015

It’s October and that means Halloween is almost here. In honor of my favorite holiday of the year I give to you my top thirty horror movies. Now some of these films might be on every list, but some might not. I might even have a film or two that you have never heard of. Just remember this is my top thirty. In other words these films made me cringe or just sent chills up my spine. So with no further ado here is my list.

# 4
Jaws (1975)
Directed By: Steven Spielberg

This film is not really considered a horror film. It’s classified as a drama / thriller. But its to bad I am adding it to my list anyway and calling it a  horror film now. Jaws is a great film that still stands the test of time today. People are still scared to got into the ocean because of this film. Can you blame them? We still have multiple shark attacks every year across all continents, and most people will always say it was like a scene out of Jaws.

Welcome to Amity Island. A summer hotbed for the tourists and locals alike. Sheriff Brody is in charge of the island and believes that there is something in the ocean that is attacking people. He wants the beaches closed but the mayor is against the idea. When the Sheriff believes it is a great white shark he wants to hunt him down with the help of two men.

These three men are determined to find the shark and end the threat for good.

I hope we never see a remake of this movie. There is no need to ruin it. You have some great banter between Richard Dreyfuss and Roy Scheider. The storyline is just terrific and let’s not forget the real star of the show, Jaws. Jaws will always be one of my favorite movies. And always remember your going to need a bigger boat.
