While many people speculate about the future of DC Films and their current slate, one film looks like it’s moving forward.

According to multiple reports, Warner Brothers is looking to get the Green Lantern Corps movie off the ground and they are looking at a new director to helm the film.

Described as “Lethal Weapon in space”, Green Lantern Corps is expected to feature a seasoned Hal Jordan taking on and training new Green Lantern recruit John Stewart. No word on casting for either role at this time.

Christopher McQuarrie is being eyed to take over directing the film written by David S. Goyer. McQuarrie is the screenwriter for hit films like The Usual Suspects, Valkyrie, Jack Reacher, Edge of Tomorrow and the last two Mission: Impossible movies Rogue Nation and the upcoming Fallout which he also directed. While the studio wants the director to take on the comic book film, there hasn’t been confirmation that negotiations have begun with the director and his representatives.
