Wakanda will have a new king soon as Black Panther 2 is set to begin filming this July. The film’s future was put on hold after the death of beloved star Chadwick Boseman breaking the hearts of many.
Marvel Studios and director Ryan Coogler are forging ahead without a CGI replacement. Many of the previous cast are returning including Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, and fan favorite, Letitia Wright as Shuri.
Shuri, sister to T’Challa, may take on a more active role although we don’t know to what capacity. Many fans would have her take her rightful place on the throne, and there is precedent for that. However, that role has been kept tightly under wraps.
Tenoch Huerta is currently in talks to play one of the antagonists. Although we have no idea what character he will actually play, it is rumored that he may bring Namor the Submariner to life. Who and what would you like to see in Black Panther 2?
