The 2014 novel Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo, And The Battle That Defined A Generation is coming from LegendaryTV in the form of a limited drama series.
‘Kong: Skull Island’ director Jordan-Vogt Roberts is helming the project with a pilot script from Mike Rosolio. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are producing through Point Grey Pictures, alongside book author Blake J. Harris, James Weaver, Scott Rudin, and others.
Rogen and Goldberg were previously attached to direct a movie adaptation back in 2014, but nothing ever came of it. You can check out our interview with Harris here. The book details the marketing battle between Sega and Nintendo, as well s what went on behind the scenes at the corporations, and shows video game development as an industry, rather than a creative machine.
The series does not yet have a release date.
