What was your first Cosplay experience?
Wow! That was a long time ago! I’d have to say my first cosplay experience (that I remember) would be in 2003. I was cosplaying one of the state alchemists from Full Metal Alchemist. I remember it so well because it was also my first experience getting a full body tackle/glomp!

How long have you been Cosplaying?
I’ve been sewing and making costumes since I was a little girl, but my first time attending a convention in cosplay would have to have been in 2003. So… that makes 12 years now? Wow, how time has flown by.

Who or What inspired you to take up Cosplaying?
When I was a kid, my parents took me to see Cirque du Soleil’s Varaki. As soon as I laid eyes on those costumes, I knew I wanted to make things like that. Cosplay was a natural extension of that for me, as it incorporated both my career path in costuming, with my love of geeky stuff.

If you had to pick a favorite Cosplay you have worn or have seen someone else wear, what would it be?
So far, my favorite costume I’ve worn would be my Commander Shepard N7 armor. As for a costume I’ve seen, hands down it’d be Cosplay Py’s Klaxxi cosplay from Blizzcon.

If you had unlimited funds and resources, what Cosplay would you create?
All my crazy Warcraft priest tier armor! With full LED’s and motors and everything! 😀

What advice would you offer others who are aspiring Cosplayers?
Don’t be shy and make excuses as to why you shouldn’t cosplay. Everyone can cosplay regardless of skill level. We’re all geeks in the end, and it’s about having fun! I’d also add that you should always push yourself, and never limit what you think you can do. 😀
