Every first and third Monday of the month, we at Geeks With Wives post a gallery filled with professional quality photos. These photos can be of one specific cosplayer in a single outfit or of a group of cosplayers portraying a single theme.
This week, we feature Feoranna Cosplay, The Other Doctor, and Cloud City Photography as Rose and Ten!
Tell us a little about these cosplayers and what it was like to photograph them:
“Feoranna Cosplay is a huge Doctor Who fan from Portland Oregon. When she discovered her friend “The Other Doctor” would be coming from Seattle to Portland for a con here, she talked him into a shoot for the two of them and asked me to be the photographer. Both of them are experienced wonderful cosplayers and made my job easy. I worked their tails off and did three shoots in the same evening. The first here is with a simple white screen in character poses. The second set was a riff on the “Idiot’s Lantern” episode, shot mostly outdoors when it was about 40 degrees out. And the third is our storyboard interpretation of a one sided “Bad Wolf” meeting. The two of them were fabulous fun to work with and the shoot was one of the highlights of my year.”
