What are you getting out of Crossover #11

Remember where issue 10 left us, well issue 11 does a seamless transition. We start the latest book with a back flash. We get to see what happened to Mr. Cates, right after the cataclysmic event (the dome). A mustachioed Pendelton is doing his best interrogating Mr. Cates to try and get to the bottom of what has actually happened (this is still the flashback). There is a lot of detail in the flashback and it gives a better understanding as to why Donny Cates was locked up. Fast forward to the present, Donny meets Ellie. Ellie is not having it, she does not take what Mr. Cates has to say well.

We have the great detectives from the Powers division escorting a certain troublesome prisoner, seemingly without authorization. The prisoner in question is Ryan`s dad. Why is he getting the special treatment, well it is because he said he will give them the culprit behind the mysterious murders. Oh boy, what a reveal. I am not going to spoil this for you, but think big bad, and psychotic who enjoys beating people to death.

The Art and Style.

The art for Crossover is still top-notch and does not miss a beat. From the murder and mayhem to the more subtle scenes this flow is exceptional and seemingly effortless. The added benefit of knowing the mood of the room before you start reading is a feat to praised as well. With the art so brilliantly crafted and exceptional detail to each character and each panel’s background, you might find yourself wondering if the world of Crossover is just beyond your front door.

Final Thought

With the latest issue, I can’t help to feel that they should do this every week. Just release a new issue every week, please. Keeping us in suspense for a month, especially after that final page, is nothing short of torture.
