crossover #8

Crossover #8 returns to Ellie’s story. After the brilliant “filler” issue we are finally back to the main arc, main story, and one kick-ass protagonist Ellipses. They have escaped the chaos of the dome thanks largely to Ryan, but a new threat appears, obviously, some amazing characters which I am not going to divulge.

THE AMAZINGLY BRILLIANT STORY CONTINUES.

As stated previously, the journey continues. We first get a couple of panels of how stuff should have gone down. But obviously, Ellipses had other plans. Ellipses and Ryan are still in the motel. Ryan doing his absolute best to deal with the big reveal that Ellipses is a “fake”. Ellipses, on the other hand, trying to get the situation under control, when things go from bad to worse. Enter to well-known detectives from the …. (I do not want to spoil this) division. From here on it seems like the two protagonists are separated, Ellipses in custody and  Ryan back at the powerhouse facing a sticky situation.

The Art.

The art continues to fit this amazing book. With each new issue, the art seems to become more vibrant more on point and, the center of this colorful and vibrant world. There is not much to say it’s perfectly suited to the story, to the characters, and the world this plays in.  The expressions are astonishingly on point, and Geoff shaw does not miss a beat. Dee Cunniffe continues with the brilliant colors and has not missed the bet once so far on this series.

Final Verdict.

The world of crossover continues to leap forward and growing from strength to strength. And should be on every single comic book lover’s list of must-reads. There is such a deeply character-driven story attached to this book that you will almost forget that this is a work of fiction and imagination. I simply cannot wait for the next issue and see where this ride is going to end up.
