What is CrowView?
CrowView is the latest brainchild of the Elecrow team. Coming in with a screen size of 14”, with a resolution of 1080p. Unlike other monitors that use magnets to connect, CrowView uses a new adjustable clip that allows it to work with any laptop from 13 ” -16.5″. Or use It standalone in either portrait and landscape mode. With low risk of scratches thanks to the rubber gaskets on the back, and absolutely no residue.
Ease of use
This is by far one of the easiest portable monitors I have ever used. With no driver and it using USB-C, all I have to do is plug it in and I’m good to go. Because the USB-C doubles as the data and power cable (although they do give you a power cube, just in case).
Pros and cons
Although this is a really good monitor, I do wish I could clamp it on the left side or even above my laptop in order to truly maximize efficiency when working. That’s really my only complaint though, because this is a good monitor that works with Windows OS, Mac OS, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and more. It’s hinge makes this portable monitor really useful as it can swing insanely wide allowing you to show clients you screen while you work.
Their story
Ever since 2014 when Elecrow was first founded. They’ve been providing the world with open source hardware and electronic components and now with a much larger team they’ve given us the CrowView.
