Daisy Ridley Attached To Star In Doug Liman’s YA Novel Adaptation ‘Choas Walking’

Aug 4, 2016

Variety has word that Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley is still looking for another franchise role and has seemingly attached herself to Lionsgate’s adaptation of the young adult novel Chaos Walking by Patrick Ness, which is said to be based on the first book in the trilogy Chaos Walking: The Knife of Never Letting Go.

Set in a dystopian world where all living creatures can hear each other’s thoughts.

The book is centered on the only boy in a town of men, who makes a startling discovery that forces him to flee with only his dog in hand. With the townspeople in pursuit, the duo stumbles upon a strange and silent girl. They set off on a white-knuckle journey in which the boy must unlearn everything he knows in order to figure out who he truly is.

Edge of Tomorrow‘s Doug Liman signed-on recently to direct, but they don’t exactly mention when production will begin as a writer isn’t named.

Daisy just wrapped on Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII, recently attaching herself to other projects such as Kolma and The Lost Wife.
