Actor Ed Skrein vacated the role of Japanese-American comic book hero Been Daimio in the Hellboy reboot, after whitewashing claims. He gracefully exited and left the role open for an Asian actor to be cast instead.
The studio had promised to seek an actor more suited for the role and Hollywood reporter has learned Lost’s Daniel Dae Kim is now in talks for the part.
The film will begin filming this month in Bulgaria and the UK.
