Oct 9, 2018

After some massive delays on the World War Z sequel due to a loss of director J.A. Bayona to Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom and scheduling conflicts with star Brad Pitt, after David Fincher was coaxed into directing, there is a huge update to share.

Thanks to producer Dede Gardner, who spoke with Variety during the premiere of Beautiful Boy we now have an idea when filming is expected to begin. She also reaffirms that Fincher is still attached to direct.

“Oh, we’re starting to shoot in June.”

“What more do you need to know? Brad Pitt is Gerry Lane, he’s back. David Fincher is directing. “

We’ve heard that a portion of the filming is expected to possibly take place in London, England.

World War Z II is currently without a new release date from Paramount Pictures.
