The Demon: Hell is Earth #1
DC Comics

Written By: Andrew Constant
Art By: Brad Walker

I have a natural affinity for the mystical sides of DC Comics. I love the stories of Constantine, Swamp Thing, Deadman and so on. So, I’ve always quite enjoyed Etrigan the Demon. The Classic Kirby design, the give and take between him and Jason Blood, even the rhyming, it all appeals to me. You can imagine my excitement when I sat down to read the first issue of this miniseries. All too often that excitement and hope can be crushed when reading a new comic book. I’m very happy to report to you today, that my hopes were not crushed. Actually the complete opposite.
I very much enjoyed this book.

The art can be a little cartoony at times, but it still works well. Brad Walker’s Etrigan is just a thing of beauty. It seems like Constant has the dynamic between Jason and Etrigon down. This issue does a great job of starting some intriguing mysteries that I can’t wait to get to the bottom of.

I’m honestly very excited that this first issue has lived up to my expectations! I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who enjoys Etrigon or the darker side of DC Comics.
