Batwoman premiers this week on the CW and to commemorate Kate Kane’s live action solo series we are going to oooohh and awwww over her Diamond  Select PVC Statue.  In the wake of Batman’s mysterious absence the CW’s Batwoman looks to take over where her cousin left off. When Kate Kane discovers what her cousin Bruce Wayne left behind, she decides to use his tools to take back Gotham from a criminal element that looks to take advantage of the Dark Knight’s absence. With the help of Luke Fox, Kate Kane creates her own persona to clean up Gotham and becomes the Batwoman.

Shawn Knapp’s design, sculpted by Cortes Studios features Kane overlooking Gotham atop a Lightening rod. Grasping the top of the tower Kane’s hair blows in the wind as she survey’s her city. The pose is so perfectly Batfamily while the red light expertly complements Kane’s costume coloring and voluptuous hair. While Kane appears to be holding onto a tall buildings lighting rod, the base itself is the Batwoman logo, which shimmers with a metallic dark red. Knapp and team have created a striking piece for Kate Kane. The pose opens her up and let’s her best features shine, the details while minor are essential in giving the costume texture and making her standout features really pop. The contrast of black and red is what really draws the eye in while the textures and detail hold you closer for a longer look. Its an immaculate statue that is almost completely devoid of flaws.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this statue. Its the best Batwoman has looked outside of the comics. The extra details and textures give a real world feel that a lot of comic book pieces overlook. Kane’s bright red hair is the perfect focal point as it draws you in and helps to accent the red sections of her suit. The head scupt itself is truly impressive. I know I’ve already lamented about the hair but the cowls detail, her striking green eyes and the nothing but business expression all work together to create an intimidating hero that is not only beautiful but bad ass. There is nothing not to love about this piece. Batwoman fans this maybe one of the most striking Kane figures on the market and is a must buy at all cost. Collectors, you won’t be disappointed adding this nearly flawless piece to your collection. Its design is off the charts sexy while oozing the power of the Dark Knight, for the price this is a statue you can not pass up.

At an early age I knew I loved two things more than anything else Comic Books and Video Games and no matter how hard my parents tried they couldn't keep me away from the capes and pixels. Now that I have a wife and child of my own I can't wait to share these vast worlds and experiences with them and hopefully you! With GWW I created and become editor of the comics section, which has now become the websites most popular area and features daily post with unique Comic editorials, reviews and previews. Along with Will Elizondo we started the GWW Capes Crew podcast. A weekly show dedicated to to all things Comics, Superheros and Sequential Art. After a year of creating content for GWW I was made its Editor in Chief. I love everything I do and can't think of a better way to spend my time than to spread every form of geekery to every corner of the globe. Comics will all be my passion though and were my heart lies.
