Director Duncan Jones Reveals His Next Film Is A Comic Book Project

Jul 13, 2018

Director Duncan Jones (Mute, Warcraft, Source Code, Moon) has revealed on Twitter that his next film will be untitled comic book project. Although, he was very vague what it could be.

“A little nervous about this, but hell, nervous is where the fun is!

I’m going to be making a comic book movie next! A pretty special one.

That’s the initial tease…

Second tease to come in a few days!”

There plenty of things he could be talking about here.

On the Marvel side, Marvel Studios could be already looking for directors to make The Eternals and Fox is still seemingly looking for their Gambit director.

Duncan had once met with Fox to direct The Wolverine before they ultimately picked James Mangold, so there is a chance it could be an X-Men film.

With DC Films, they have too many project to count but things that standout to me for Jones include Man of Steel 2, Green Lantern Corps, or even their Lobo movie which has been in-development for ages.

Before Zack Snyder was hired for Man of Steel, Jones was apparently in the mix along with others and admitted the project “intimidated” him.

Jones also has a relationship with Netflix, who have recently purchased Millarworld and have plans to make films based on the Mark Millar comics they have access to.
