Today, director James Gunn took to his Facebook to announce something huge! Some weren’t sure it was Marvel related considering his next film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has yet to debut. However, the director announced that he has signed on to return to write and direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3!
Which mark the first time a director in the Marvel Cinematic Universe actually got to complete a full trilogy. Completely based on his own vision for characters that were completely unknown prior to 2014. Check out his message to the fans:
