Disney’s Live-Action ‘Lion King’ Remake Set To Begin Filming This May in LA

After the success of last year’s The Jungle Book Disney along with director Jon Favreau is set to reboot that classic animated film The Lion King. This time it will be live-action but most likely motion-capture will be used. Currently, Donald Glover (Community, Han Solo) has been cast as Simba with James Earl Jones (Rogue One) returning to voice Mufasa.

We at Omega Underground have learned that filming on the upcoming remake will begin filming this May in Los Angeles, CA.


The Lion King will hit theaters in 2018
