Sony’s ‘Charlie’s Angels’ reboot will now release on November 15th, a two week push from its original date of November 1, 2019. The shift is likely due to Tim Miller’s ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ standing its ground on the November 1st date.
Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska portray the titular Angels. The rest of the cast comprises of Elizabeth Banks, Patrick Stewart, Djimon Hounsou (all three playing Bosley), Luis Gerardo Méndez, Sam Claflin, and Noah Centineo.
Moreover, Elizabeth Banks (‘Pitch Perfect 2’) serves as both director and writer. The screenplay is from Banks and Jay Basu (‘Monsters: Dark Continent,’ ‘The Girl in the Spider’s Web’), with early drafts by Craig Mazin (‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War,’ ‘Chernobyl’) and Semi Chellas (‘Mad Men,’ ‘The Romanoffs’). The plot is currently under wraps.
‘Charlie’s Angels’ will now compete against James Mangold’s ‘Ford vs. Ferrari,’ Bill Condon’s ‘The Good Liar,’ Paul Feig’s ‘Last Christmas,’ and Orion’s untitled horror movie.
