The Epomaker TH99 deserves your attention. I’ve tested countelss keyboards over the years and not only do I love a great feeling keyboard, but I also have picky requierments when it comes to quality. Generally speaking, you pay for what you get. But I would pay double for the TH99!

Coming in at $82.99 directly from Epomaker, the TH99 has a smooth plastic chassis with their 1800 key layout. This means you get the keys you expect, but in a slightly shorter body. Some compromises were made. For example, the right shift key is slightly thinner than the left shift key, but I was not challenged in using it since the up-arrow is spaced further to the right than the enter key. Also, the layout of del, pg up and pg down are vertical instead of horizontal or boxed. Again, they are still perfectly usable.

The color scheme is black and white, which reminds me of the old Storm Shadow costume from G.I. Joe. I love that they did not overdo it with the white keys. It’s a mostly black, stealth keyboard with some white accents. Of course, that does not matter a lick if the keyboard is not comfortable and fun to use.

Fortunately, the keys sound amazing and typing is smooth. After a few days of use, the keyboard was easy to type on. I was not making many mistakes at all. I was surprised at how well I adjusted to it since I switch keyboards often and there are many varieties of keyboards.
