Ewan McGregor’s ‘Shining’ Sequel ‘Doctor Sleep’ Wraps In Early December

Aug 22, 2018

Doctor Sleep might not be the huge impedance on Ewan McGregor making Kenobi: A Star Wars Story as previously suggested by some.

Omega Underground has learned the film’s wrap date is now said to be December 5th, as filming is set to begin on September 24th in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Kenobi movie has yet to be officially announced by Lucasfilm but there was talk that filming could begin as early as next April at Pinewood Studios UK. Neither a director or screenwriter have been announced for Kenobi. However, these production dates for Doctor Sleep seemingly suggests that Ewan’s schedule is open for the foreseeable future after Doctor Sleep wraps in early December.

Doctor Sleep will focus on an adult Danny as he discovers a group that can shine, but kill others with powers to increase their own.

Mike Flanagan will write-direct as we previously reported the crew includes production designer Maher Ahmad, cinematographer Michael Fimognari, visual effects supervisor Marc Kolbe, and stunt coordinator Chuck Borden.

Warner Bros. has set the release date for Doctor Sleep on January 24th, 2020.
