Today, Entertainment Weekly unveiled the 2015 Comic-Con special DC trinity cover online for Batman v Superman. It features Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman front and center for the first time. They also released a slew of images from the film including new looks at Batman, Superman and Lex Luthor:
Ben Affleck goes onto reveal that Batman has been cleaning up the streets of Gotham for over 20 years and is simply just an angry man by the time of Superman’s arrival:
“‘He’s on the verge of being swallowed up by the anger and the rage that we see haunt this character in the other manifestations of it. But this guy is further down the line and has become more embittered and cynical. Worried that Superman’s unequaled power makes him more of a potential fascistic overlord than the hero we need, he makes it his duty to take him out of the sky for good.”
