HBO’s upcoming series ‘The Nevers’ from Joss Whedon has added a new crew member in the form of production designer Gemma Jackson. Whedon will take on the roles of writer, director, executive producer and showrunner of ‘The Nevers.’
Jackson has quite the resume, and has worked with HBO in the past. She was part of both the miniseries ‘John Adams’ and the first three seasons of ‘Game of Thrones.’ Also, she has been with Guy Ritchie for his past three films: ‘King Arthur: The Legend of the Sword,’ the upcoming ‘Aladdin’ remake, and the currently filming ‘Toff Guys.’
Whedon is famous for several different TV shows, and is back once again after six years. Such shows include ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer,’ ‘Firefly,’ ‘Angel,’ and ‘Dollhouse.’
Additionally, he is one of the creators of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,’ which will have its sixth season premiere this May. On the film side, he is responsible for the first two ‘Avengers’ films, and co-writing ‘Cabin in the Woods.’
The premise is below:
“An epic science fiction drama about a gang of Victorian women who find themselves with unusual abilities, relentless enemies, and a mission that might change the world.”
However, the HBO series will most likely not air this year, due to the already stacked schedule ahead.
