EXCLUSIVE: ‘Monster Hunter’ Movie Audition Tapes For The Roles of Soldiers Marshall and Aiden

Aug 17, 2018

Paul W.S. Anderson is still very keen on making live-action films based on Capcom video games as his next film will be a feature film based on the video game Monster Hunter, which basically explains it’s entire plot with the title. It will star Resident Evil’s Milla Jovovich in the lead role.

It seems that Anderson is looking for a diverse cast as the roles of soldiers Marshall and Aiden are being read by a group of diverse actors. Omega Underground has a whole batch of audition tapes for these roles.

For the role of Marshall actors auditioning include Rich Ting, Gino Vento, Jason Woods, and Corey Parker Robinson. And the role of Aiden we see Firass Dirani, Gino Vento, and Cody Vaughan auditioning.

Here are the audition tapes.

Also, it seems like the film will be taking a less fantasy approach as seen in these auditions but they do seemingly tease a dragon. I can’t help but think this might be just Resident Evil, but switching out zombies for large CGI monsters.

Omega Underground has learned filming will begin on October 1st in Cape Town, South Africa and will wrap by December 12th. The film’s crew includes cinematographer Glen MacPherson, production designer Edward Thomas, visual effects supervisor Dennis Berardi, and composer Paul Haslinger.

A release date has yet to be set for Monster Hunter.
