Exclusive: Marvel Studios’ ‘Moon Knight’ series has a new filming start date and location.
Production on the Disney+ show will begin in mid-November at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. The series was originally rumored to begin filming in August at Pinewood Studios UK.
The other Marvel Studios shows are also filming in Atlanta, such as ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,’ ‘WandaVision,’ and ‘Loki.’
‘Moon Knight’ will follow the adventures of Marc Spector, a man with DID who believes he was resurrected and given powers by the Egyptian god Knoshu.
Casting for the lead role is already heating up, with Marvel searching for a Jewish Zac Efron-type actor, as we exclusively reported.
Jeremy Slater, known for his work on FOX’s ‘The Exorcist’ and Netflix’s ‘Umbrella Academy,’ will serve as showrunner.
There is no premiere date yet, but with this new production info, it would suggest either a December 2021 or Spring 2022 release.
