Amid all the director drama surrounding the upcoming James Bond movie, ‘Casino Royale’ scribe Paul Haggis revised and turned in a draft of the ‘Bond 25’ script, originally written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.
His draft of the script is labeled “intermittent,” so while it was likely commissioned before Cary Fukunaga took over as director, the script was turned in on November 22, 2018, so it could be the version Fukunaga is polishing before production starts later this year.
Danny Boyle was originally set to direct the 25th entry to the Bond franchise before creative differences caused him to depart the project. After interviewing a multitude of directors, execs selected ‘True Detective’ director Cary Fukunaga to take the reigns. Production is currently set to begin this March with a targeted February 2020 release date.
