Omega Underground has discovered a batch of audition tapes for David F. Sandberg‘s Shazam! movie. The tapes include youngsters auditioning for the roles of Billy and Carlos.
Young newcomers Jeremy Michael Lanuti and Ethan Suess (Harvey Danger) are auditioning for Billy Batson.

There’s also a young character named Carlos via Anthony Olague‘s audition, we assume this could be one of Billy’s peers.
Nothing says any of these hopefuls will land these roles but it’s interesting for fans to get a glimpse of the audition/casting process. We do expect to see Sandberg seeking new talent for the film and that leads unknowns auditioning.
We recently confirmed production on Shazam! will begin this February in Toronto under the working title of Franklin (which we reported). The film is currently without a release date but it’s expected to be ready for some time in 2019.
