‘Fantastic Beasts 2’ Starts Shooting This August In Paris and The United Kingdom

OmegaUnderground has spotted a production update concerning the Fantastic Beasts sequel.

Originally, New York City was listed as one of the locations for the sequel. The updated locations seem to suggest director David Yates will be heading back to the UK along with the previously confirmed location of Paris, France. While New York has been pulled off the locations list.

It’s expected the UK scenes will be shot at Leavesden Studios, Leavesden, Hertfordshire, England, UK.

Filming was expected to begin sometime in March but the updated information now places the production start happening sometime in August. This supports talk from actress Zoe Kravitz that production was eyeing a start in the summer.

 

Johnny Depp returns as villain Gellert Grindelwald and Zoe Kravitz will play Leta Lestrange both roles are expected to span multiple films. They’ll also be looking at casting a younger version of Albus Dumbledore.

Other returning members of the cast seem up in the air outside of Eddie Redmayne‘s Newt.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2 is set for release on November 16, 2018.
