FIRST FOOTAGE: ‘Kong: Skull Island’ Featurette with Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson

Apr 11, 2016

Kong: Skull Island will fully immerse audiences in the mysterious and dangerous home of the king of the apes as a team of explorers ventures deep inside the treacherous, primordial island.

The talented cast includes Tom Hiddleston, Sam Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman, Tian Jing, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz, Shea Whigham, and Toby Kebbell.

MTV aired our first look at Legendary’s Kong: Skull Island with the cast talking about their characters in the film. We also get first looks at a majority of the cast in character on the set.

Tom Hiddleston is Captain James Conrad, a former British SAS officer.

Brie Larson is playing Weaver, a photo journalist and peace activist.

Jason Mitchell plays a helicopter pilot named Glen Mills.

The film is indeed set during the 1970’s and has a bunch of Vietnam era soldiers mixed among the explorers. I feel this might give the film more of an edge similar to Aliens‘ colonial marines.

It’s release date is set for March 10th, 2017.

We snapped a bunch of images from the behind the scenes video that gives us the first looks at most of the cast in character including first looks at seasoned actors Samuel L. Jackson, John Ortiz and John Goodman.
