The C7-Air ergonomic office chair is shockingly good. I feel that way because for $629 (currently on sale for just $349), I did not expect such a comfortable chair. I’m coming from a Razer Iskur, which is $399, with high quality materials, but I do not find it comfortable. With the C7-Air, the materials are mostly of high quality, but do lack in some areas. It comes in a variety of colors too, such as grey, black and green. And, by the way, it’s also known as the C7-Pro.

I have been using the C7-Air for a week in my office, on hardwood flooring, alongside my FlexiSpot standing desk. I have a lot of experience with FlexiSpot’s desks, all of which have been impressive to me, even considering the spectrum of quality and pricing. The C7-Air does not disappoint at all. It arrived in a compact box, which I was able to carry myself from the post office, to my truck and then to my office. Assembly took under 20 minutes too. The finished, assembled chair has a cool, unique look with it’s aggressive headrest design and a mesh cushion all around. The lumbar is adjustable, but not very much. But, for me, it’s not an issue in terms of comfort. I have it set to its least aggressive state. The headrest is also adjustable. But instead of using a lever, you manipulate it simply with your hands.
The way I use this chair, and all others, is I stand for 30 minutes and then sit for 30 minutes. I do this for 8-10 hours a day. With the C7-Air, I find myself wanting to sit more, especially after a hard workout. I like the feel of the mesh, both on my back and back-side. Also, the recliner function is great!

Coming from a $400 Razer gaming chair, I feel its important to call out the importance of finding your personal comfort. I get it – companies are designing their chairs to look cool and appeal to their intended audience. And consumers are trying to make the best decision and if that means they should buy a “gaming” chair, then so be it. As a lifelong gamer, I’ve realized now that I’m not the intended audience for Razer’s chairs. And likely not Corsair or other gaming-centric manufacturers. A comfortable office chair, like the C7-Air, is more appropriate for me.
On the negative side, I do wish the wheels were rubber, to better protect my floors. And, while the chair is made of great materials, the only cheap materials are the arm rests. They do not lock into place, which means a modest amount of pressure will cause them to turn or move side-to-side.
Overall, I recommend this chair to those who want a comfortable sitting experience, especially if you like the option to lean backwards or rock in your seat. Do ensure you take advantage of the sales, which FlexiSpot often offer. It’s currently on sale and you can find a link to the page here.
