‘Furious’ Spin-Off ‘Hobbs and Shaw’ Filming In Atlanta, Hawaii, and UK This Fall

Mar 31, 2018

It’s starting to look like Universal is going to lock-in Deadpool 2 director David Leitch to direct their Fast and Furious spin-off film titled Hobbs and Shaw, starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.

Omega Underground has learned the studio is looking to film Hobbs and Shaw in Atlanta, Georgia along with undisclosed locations in Hawaii and the United Kingdom.

Johnson is no stranger to Hawaii and Atlanta as a bulk of his recent films have shot in these locales.

Hobbs is aiming to begin filming on September 4th.

Dwayne wraps on Disney’s Jungle Cruise on August 31st, so there is a chance that the Hobbs start date could be pushed a couple weeks to give Johnson a breather.

If Leitch is ultimately confirmed (looking like he will be) there’s a good chance we’ll see him reunite with Atomic Blonde and Deadpool 2 cinematographer Jonathan Sela.

Universal previously gave the film the release date of July 26th, 2019.
