‘Fury Road’ Oscar-Winner Will Create The Elaborate Costumes For ‘Gambit’

Production is really starting to ramp up for Fox’s upcoming X-Men spin-off Gambit starring Channing Tatum. With a director locked down in Gore Verbinski. And casting well underway for the main leads it’s only natural some production crew info will also be leaking out.

We have learned that Oscar-winning costume designer Jenny Beavan for Mad Max: Fury Road has now joined the film. We shall see what kind of costume Gambit will be wearing in his upcoming solo adventure. When he first appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (played by Taylor Kitsch) he wore nothing that resembled his classic outfit at all. Mostly, wearing a bolder hat along with a waistcoat. He did wear his classic duster at the end of the film but not for very long. So it will be interesting to see what will be used in this upcoming film. We also mentioned last week that Candra along with Mr Sinster will be making an appearance in the film. So we will have to see how comic book accurate their costumes turn out as well.

Lastly, we also revealed that the stunt coordinators for Mad Max: Fury Road helped with the stunts on X-Men: Dark Phoenix. It will be interesting to see if the studio keeps the stunts in-house and re-hire the team for Gambit. Which obviously will be using many stunts between the warring Thieves and Assassin Guilds.

Gambit will hit February 14th, 2019
