Overview
Together, a generative AI startup, has raised $20m in a seed funding round led by Lux Capital. The firm plans to create an open source ecosystem of enterprise generative AI models and tools that can be used to help embed the technology into businesses. The company also plans to create a cloud platform, which it claims will be cheaper and more secure than Google Cloud, Azure and AWS, that fine-tunes and runs these models. Together has started bringing open source AI models together with its RedPajama project, starting with a 1.2 trillion token dataset that enterprises can use for pre-training models available for licensing.
