“Ladies and Gentlemen… Rock and Roll.”
Those are the opening words spoken on August 1, 1981 that launched MTV and the music video revolution. But it actually started before that in smaller forms with artists like David Bowie and Queen pushing video as a medium for exposing their music. In this Backtrack we talk about our experiences with music videos as a GenX’ers and even managed to do a little research and learn a thing or two!
