Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One hits theaters this weekend and Google Play wants to make sure that you are ready with discounts on the books, movies and games that inspired the cinematic blockbuster as well as the book it’s based on.
Google Play if offering deep discounts on not only the audio version of Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, but also the e-book and other titles that inspired the book itself including The Lord of the Rings, Dune, Altered Carbon, Ender’s Game, Starship Troopers and more. The Play Store also wants to help you remember the classic 80’s movies that inspired the film and the easter eggs in it with movies starting at $4.99 that include Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Back to the Future, Blade Runner: The Final Cut, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, The Iron Giant, Alien, Beetlejuice and more. Google Play is also discounting some classic video games as well as some VR titles to get fans of the film into their own virtual worlds. Some of the games include Golden Axe Classic, Galaga Wars, Data Wing, Wizard Academy VR, Deep Space Battle VR, The Other Room, Ingress and more.
