Overview
Google Assistant has introduced two new American English voice options, Indigo and Lime, bringing the total number of voice choices to 12. The voices are gendered and the app has made it easier to switch between them by asking the voice assistant to “change your voice”. Unlike other digital assistants, the voices do not feature celebrities. Google has been developing custom voices as an enterprise feature for Google Cloud, while Alexa recently phased out its celebrity voices.
