Today, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and 2 director James Gunn held a live Q & A on his periscope. MCU Exchange watched the live feed and is reporting that the director revealed he will be consulting on the upcoming ensemble film Avengers: Infinity War. This is the first time the director has publicly acknowledged that his Guardians of the Galaxy will in fact have something to do with The Avengers on earth. Up until now it’s been assumed that the Guardians will battle Thanos but yet to be confirmed by the studio. It also makes sense that he would have something to do with how his characters will be introduced in the upcoming Avengers flicks in case Guardians of the galaxy becomes a trilogy.
