Toff Guys is the latest crime flick from director Guy Ritchie (Snatch, Sherlock Holmes) that is about begin filming very soon. It was recently reported by Variety that the cast will include Matthew McCconaughey, Kate Beckinsale, and Henry Golding.
The story explores the collision between European “old money” and the modern marijuana industry. It follows a British drug lord attempting to cash out on his highly profitable empire by selling it off to a dynasty of Oklahoma billionaires.
Previously, we revealed that Toff Guys would see Guy reunite with Aladdin cinematographer Alan Stewart, but there is word of yet another crew member from the Disney film joining his upcoming crime project.
We’ve now learned that production designer Gemma Jackson will be working on Toff Guys.
Gemma’s credits include previously working with Ritchie on Aladdin and King Arthur along with three seasons of Game of Thrones for HBO.
She was nominated for an Oscar for her work on Finding Neverland.
Filming is expected to begin in October/November in the United Kingdom.
A release date has yet to be announced by Miramax.
