Deadline reports that actress Halle Berry has joined the cast of Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman 2.
Her role is said to be that of a CIA Director and could see Berry return for a potential Kingsman 3.
Berry is in talks to play the head of the CIA, and the discussion is for a two-picture deal, I’m told.
The Oscar winner’s credits include Monsters Ball and Fox’s X-Men franchise. However, it’s likely her roles in films like Die Another Day and Swordfish landed her the role.
Halle will join Targon Edgerton and Mark Strong with Julianne Moore in talks for the villain role.
Production is expected to begin this summer with a release date set for June 9th, 2017.
