Marvel is absolutely killing it with its Netflix shows. Both Daredevil and Jessica Jones are beloved by critics and fans alike. But luckily for us, Marvel has more shows planned, as a Luke Cage series is well underway with Iron Fist coming shortly after.
Now we obviously already have our Luke Cage in Mike Colter but we have all anxiously been anticipating the announcement of who will be cast as Iron Fist.
We may not have to wait for long. In an interview with Collider, Colter is asked if he was excited about future scenes between his character and fellow Heroes for Hire partner, Iron Fist. Here is his response, it may surprise you:
“The actor has been cast, but he’s in a basement somewhere. When the time is right, they’ll let him up and tell him where he is. I am [excited]. I’ll get a nice little break, after doing Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Whether I’m in [his show], I don’t know, but there’s The Defenders.”
Crazy right!? We would assume that as soon as this mystery actor was cast it would have instantly hit the web, but Marvel and all its sorcery have been able to keep the actor who will portray Iron Fist a secret for now. We can only assume it’s waiting for a big moment to drop this bomb and of course we will be there to give you the details.
Personally, I hope we get an Asian actor who can manifest the charm and swagger of Danny Rand but also handle the Kung-Fu mastery that comes along with the character. Or it could just be Ryan Felipe. Either way time will tell, and keep it locked to GWW for all the info.
