‘Hellboy’ reboot delayed until April 2019

Sep 26, 2018

It looks like David Harbour’s second comic book film will be reaching theaters a little later than expected.

According to THR, David Harbour’s ‘Hellboy’ movie is shifting its release date from January 11, 2019 until April 12, 2019, just a week after DC’s ‘Shazam!’ will hit the big screen. It will be competing with Robert Downey Jr.’s ‘Dr. Doolittle’ adaptation.

‘Hellboy’ will have a panel at NYCC in a few weeks, with a trailer expected to premiere there. So far, the only promotional material that has been released are two photos of the titular character. The film is helmed by ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Black Sails’ director Neil Marshall, and stars David Harbour as Hellboy, Mila Jovovich as the Blood Queen, Ian McShane as Trevor Bruttenholm, and Daniel Dae Kim as Ben Daimo.
