Heroes In Crisis continues its story as we learn bits about the situation at Sanctuary where heroes are supposed to be able to find help when going through heavy mental problems. The confessions we get in this issue are from Donna Troy, Batgirl, Blue Beetle (Ted Kord), and Black Canary and I think these may be some of my favorite ones from this series so far. Harley and Booster are the main characters that are talked about here again as the trinity of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman work to figure out who was responsible for the deaths at Sanctuary.  I do find it a bit odd to have them think that Booster is a possible suspect, but given that he’s one of the only survivors there and it was his first day.  They just can’t throw out any possibilities right now.  Harley has an exchange with Batgirl and it goes quite deep.  I don’t want to give anything away from here but I also hope people don’t get the wrong idea of what is happening in this part of the issue.  To me, it’s probably one of the most important parts in this story so far with the topic of what this story is trying to cover.  I also can’t remember the last time I saw Booster Gold and Blue Beetle together but it sure does feel great to see these two together again.  What I think makes this even better is that it’s one of the few happier moments we get right now with this crisis at hand.  Some big news about Sanctuary gets dropped in here and it will be interesting to see how our heroes will handle with what happened.

The art in this book is also absolutely outstanding with one of my favorite splash pages ever.  We get this beautiful spread of the original Teen Titans as Donna is carrying Garth out from a bar. The faces that everyone is making also shows how much they are all hurting inside. They desperately want to know how this happened while still grieving all who they have lost.  So many of the pages here just feel like they’re worth getting printed and framed up to hang on your wall.  Our letterer here also did a great job as none of the bubbles ever block any important pieces of the art.

Heroes In Crisis #4 takes further steps diving into the minds of heroes needing help.  It’s about needing help and getting it without asking for it or even refusing when it’s offered.  When you come to your senses though and see that seeking help doesn’t make you look weak, that’s when you can start seeing the light.
